KCCD participates in the annual Reforest NKY event. Reforest NKY is organized to restore native Kentucky woodlands. The event has local organizations hosting booths and volunteers planting thousands of tree seedlings!
KCCD partners with many local organizations on conservation efforts! Local organizations include: Banklick Watershed Council, Kenton Conservancy, Kenton County Parks and Recreation, NKY Chapter Sierra Club, Licking River Watershed Watch, City of Independence, NKY Urban & Community Forestry Council, and Kenton County Extension Service.
KCCD partners with many local youth organizations such as; Ohio River Foundation Youth Conservation Team, FFA, 4H, Boy Scouts, and Girl Scouts. Let us help your organization, contact KCCD for additional information!
KCCD hosts a booth at the Kenton County Fair. Booth visitors receive information on the MVHA, program brochures, and promotional giveaways. Make sure to stop by and see us!
KCCD participates in the annual Independence Christmas Walk. KCCD displays and distributes educational information promoting conserving our natural resources. This event attracts thousands of visitors, an excellent opportunity to promote conservation!
